How to make an application for ipod and iphone(personal project)

This is a process journal for my school that I am in right now. The topic I chose is making an application. I started off by downloading the system called Xcode for making applications. After that I have to buy a book that tells you how to make an application and learn the language of making an application. The application making will take at least a year, so as I continue on making an application, I will take screen shots and will write a paragraph on how and what I did . The application I will be making is a basic tapping app to start off with. The category will be in entertainment. The price would be free, but if the application gets a descent rating, I would raise the price to a dollar. I will put up links and advice throughout the process too. I hope this will help people who are stuck on making applications or gave up on making an application because it is too hard or for other reasons.
